The Vocus Group were entering a new era and wanted to change the way they were presented to staff and clients alike.
This dynamic technology company, with household brands such as Orcon, Slingshot & Callplus, operate a stong unique “Kiwi” culture within the office and in the service it provides to its customers. This forms the foundation of a set of company values and goals which makes Vocus stand apart from its competitors.
4WoRK provided a platform to move Vocus into the newly refurbished 34 Sales Street building which is located in an area of Auckland’s CBD which was making a comeback. Vocus moved their 440 staff into a energy-focused and dynamic workplace over 2.5 floors.
The simplicity of rough sawn timber board & batten to the cores, standing-seam copper and concrete-look floors combine to present a down-to-earth, relaxed style. Level 5 is linked to Level 4 via a light-filled atrium central stair. This core circulation zone is also the location of the main social spaces on each floor where ceilings have been removed to accentuate the informality of the space. The 50m exterior walls on both levels are broken up with a variety of finishes including acoustic panel, dynamic graphics and timber paneling. A range of decks around the floors give staff the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of their office.
