The Human Rights Commission: a place of welcome, compassion, and professionalism. 4WoRK was engaged to seamlessly design a space which two government departments HRC & EECA could co-habit without compromise.
The space was designed to have two separate open plan office spaces with adjoining meeting rooms and a warm and inviting north facing staff hub which brought the companies together. Theirs was a highly considered design approach around a barrier-free strategy allowing unrestricted and open access to all New Zealanders without compromise.
4WoRK provided a sophisticated interior which embraced both company values as one. The dark timber and light herringbone timber flooring provide a background for accents of texture, artwork and subtle patterns. Soft sheer drapes provide a familiarity and softness to mediation rooms and the finishes were selected to enable a sense of calm when in mediation.
This was a perfectly executed result of collaboration, inclusivity and a holistic design approach.
