The Earthquake Commission provides natural disaster education & recovery to all New Zealanders.  They must react quickly to natural disasters, so require an office environment that is highly flexible, and able to respond swiftly to the consequential changes in staff numbers and activities.

With a move to new tenancies, ⁴WoRK led EQC on a journey of discovery of the workplace strategy options they could adopt.  We then designed & delivered their new environments.

Both projects were cost constrained and with very tight programmes.  The furniture systems were selected for high flexibility – bench desking provides the ability to increase or reduce staff numbers rapidly.  A new, contemporary aesthetic was developed via workshops with staff, and incorporates touches to reflect their unique service & branding.
