ASB is the backbone of banking in New Zealand. The ASB brand stands proudly within rural towns providing landmarks which clearly identify the city centres. 4WoRK were engaged to provide design and project management for 3 Regional Centres located in Whangarei, Hamilton and Christchurch into 3 new ASB branded architectural buildings.

The regional centres range between 500m²-1,620m², however the design aesthetic and planning principles remained the same and provided a constant energy and life to ensure the ASB design language resonated a look and feel which recognised the local identity, in conjunction with the ASB brand identity, vision and values.

⁴WoRK worked closely to develop a transition between the company’s values into materiality to give clients and employees a truly ASB feel in the use of timber, black detailing, texture, iconic lighting features and spaces, all worked to provide a dynamic ABW regional workspace.

The workspace was planned around regional aspects and landmarks providing an engagement between the internal occupants and the regions. All spaces within the fitout provide an opportunity of choice, full focused, daily work, drop in, collaborative and project spaces.

The outcome provided a strong, endearing and compelling interior workspace.
